Royal Theater Boys & Girls Clubs Arts Academy Senior Conservatory is a dynamic, non-for-profit, community based organization that serves youth and teens in the Performing Arts throughout St. Petersburg, Florida.
The Senior Conservatory provides students with professional instructors as well as experiences from other genres of art education. This program enhances students’ abilities and gives them motivation and resources to further develop their creative skills. Our Conservatory students put on professional performances locally and internationally. The students are prepared to put on these professional productions through the training of the “360” CANA (Creative Arts National Alliance) artist development seminar/workshop. “360 CANA – means “Full Circle” – Providing a bridge for self-discovery through diverse, creative, cultural artistic expressions. Royal Theater’s 360 CANA seminar and workshop provides an arts education and creative experience for students in the local communities to work with professionals in the entertainment industry.

Candidates for the Communications Internship should be organized, detailed-minded, diligent and personable. A Junior or Senior in College is preferred. The ability to expedite and follow-up on assigned tasks is essential. The nature of the work will require candidate to be flexible in assuming varied office tasks, as they may arise.
Candidates must be able to work at least 15hrs (minimum) each week, however, 20hrs each week is preferred. Also, must be available for weekends occasionally for events / performances are often scheduled for weekends.
Key responsibilities of Communications are to support the Royal Theater Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast Arts Academy’s graphics in the following areas:
- Experience in producing communication materials such as newsletters, press release, etc.
- Co-Manage Website content
- Review, edit and translate (given the necessary skill set) program documents, including all types of reports submitted to home office from the field.
- Assist in the implementation of internal and donor Monitoring & Evaluation to track key program indicators.
- Meeting with Director and Artist-in-Residence for content to fit the needs of the organization
- Communicate with local media and press for coverage on special events / activities / initiatives hosted or produced by organization
- Using computer software to execute designs
