This was a rewarding program for our future journalists.

The opportunity to glimpse at the perspective from pan-African media professionals, offered a unique view of journalism in other countries, some of which do not enjoy the same media freedoms that journalists have fought so hard for in America.

Many thanks to the U.S. State Department and the Aspen Institute for bringing the Edward R. Murrow program to our campus.

This is an excellent opportunity for those who are interested in developing what is rapidly becoming the most common form of communication.

I strongly believe that social digital media will monopolize our ways of interaction with the public en masse. It is us, both the journalist and the citizen, who are shaping and reshaping what media is everyday. Where once was a deliverer-receiver relationship, now has become a collaboration of efforts resulting in a heightened state of media awareness, both in major media houses and in the common public.

Aaron was a strong willed (in a good way), motivated, life-loving young man. He will be missed by our family.

The last time we saw him was in 2004-05, when we did a concert at the church his mother pastored.

By then, he was a little older than the "boy" I sometimes supervised at his school, and he impressed me with his maturity very much.

Please keep his family in prayer, and those that are closer to them (in location) than we are, please keep up with them. He has great parents and siblings.

To anyone reading this, pursue your dreams and ambitions with all you have in you, because we never know when this life will come to end for us. I have a respiratory disability that I have been battling for 12 years now, and I just came out of the hospital 4 days after my birthday which was Feb. 1, because my throat closed on me for the second time in 5 months. In mid January, I was suffering from pneumonia myself. Athsma and Bronchitis are also big battles for me.

However, I have recorded 8 vocal projects with a Trach Tube in use, even though I was never supposed to sing again.

So, if you have no motivation to go beyond the limits, achieve greatness, or just get better with each passing day, how about you step ya game up in MEMORY OF AARON MOE, and press, push, scratch, and fight until you become the greatest "YOU" possible, for Aaron.

"YOU CAN'T NEVER GIVE UP, YOU CAN'T GIVE IN, YOU CAN'T NEVER TURN BACK, BECAUSE QUITTERS NEVER WIN!"

Peace,
SWAYNE
